It’s been 5 years since I said the word “tomato.”
Let’s examine what’s happened.
1000’s of articles have been written by the press hand-wringing over the “lack of females” played on country radio.
In an era of “me too” and “woke-ness” you’d think there would have been a change.
I mean after all it “appears” like prima-facia DISCRIMINATION!
Why Kacey Musgraves says it’s WHITE MALE BULLSHIT!
Yet all 2,200 Country radio stations remain in lockstep in this cabal.
Has anyone ever infiltrated their “super-secret” conference call where they decide to uniformly and in lockstep systematically agree to add records sung by anatomical men and NOT TO PLAY songs by those with female body parts?
I see Samantha Bee has done a video with two completely unbiased “journalists.”
They then talk with Leslie Fram.
And with Great EMOTION they agree that the situation is JUST PLAIN WRONG!
I wish I could operate on WHAT I WANTED. I wish I could operate with that kind of EMOTIONAL decision making.
Instead, I live in a world of measurable metrics. Radio plays songs that drive ratings up.
Hence, that’s why nothing has changed in 5 years.
Does anybody want to take my bet that it will be 15% females on country radio on Jan 17, 2025?
